Pristine & Sustainability
Trees for business: a proactive, sustainable approach to business
On a monthly basis we calculate our mileage, assess our CO2 emissions and the offset out CO2 output by planting the relevant number of tress to neutralise our output which insures that pristine work towards a sustainable future.
Tree planting is good for business and for the environment - Our Customers and staff can easily appreciate the link between tree planting and doing something positive for the environment.

Myths and Facts
Climate Change is driven by many factors operating in unison. The most powerful factors include; tectonic activity such as the uplift of mountain ranges and changes to oceanic circulations; and fluctuations in the orbital perturbations of the Earth. Changes in the angle of tilt of the Earth's axis and the shape of the Earths orbit around the Sun contribute considerably to the amount of solar radiation directly warming the planet.
Greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, methane, halocarbons, ozone and water vapour warm the planet by reflecting emitted infra-red radiation back to the Earth. Carbon dioxide is of particular importance because atmospheric concentrations have increased considerably over the last century or so.

Tree Planting
Planting trees is good news for the environment and can be an effective way of providing a green endorsement for your brand.
Tree planting benefits
Tree planting is easily recognised by consumers as a positive eco-action. Trees use energy from the sun to fuel photosynthesis. Photosynthesis converts water and C02 absorbed from the atmosphere into carbohydrates that are used by the tree for nutrients. The by-product of photosynthesis is oxygen, which is released by trees into the atmosphere. So by absorbing CO2, trees rid the environment of an excess pollutant and in return, they give us oxygen to breathe.
A single tree can absorb a tonne of CO2 over its lifetime
Tree planting in the UK
Here in the UK only 12% of our land is wooded, compared with an average of 32% in each European country. It's essential we retain wooded areas to help reduce pollution, generate oxygen, maintain wildlife habitats and improve quality of life.
Additionally
The important factors when considering any tree planting project are - would the trees you pay for have been planted anyway? And Sustainability-once planted are the trees going to be looked after and survive long enough to deliver their benefit?
The Carbon Managers manage their own plantations here in the UK and have partnerships with respected organisations around the world.
Trees as Carbon Offsets
The Carbon Managers do not advocate tree planting as a carbon offset solution for reducing CO2 in the Atmosphere. Trees store CO2 during their long life. Allowed to die off naturally, the tree will decompose and release methane back into the atmosphere. However the act of tree planting is extremely positive as a starter for individuals becoming generally aware of the climate change issue. Tree planting is also extremely beneficial to the local environment, raising the bio-diversity index and providing habitats for many different species of the flora and fauna.
